Examinations & Promotion

Students will have regular class tests in all the subjects on the basis of which, the progress of each child will be assessed and recorded by the teacher in the school diary.

This will keep the parents informed of the conduct, industry and progress of the pupil.

There will be three examinations : The First and Second terminal Examinations will be in July and November respectively and the final Examination will be conducted in February. For promotion to the next class, a minimum of 40% marks in each subject is required for all classes.Those with less than 75% attendance will not be eligible for promotion or for the ICSE Examination. The students are gladed in their work on a seven-point scale.

It is compulsory for all students to take all the Tests and Examinations. Assessments during the school year will be taken into considernation while deciding the promotion of a student. No student will be examined privately.

A+ 81 - 90
B 71 - 80
B+ 61 - 70
C 51 - 60
D 41 - 50
E (failure) Below 40

Use of unfair means in any examination disqualifies one for promotion to the next class.

A pupil who misses an examination may not appear at a later date. I f the absence is justified, the fact will be taken into account at the end of the school year. Parents are therefore requested never to send their children for an examination when they are ill or recovering from an illness.

Answer papers of the First and Second Terminal Examinations will be shown to the parents.
